Managing Your Roster
Viewing Your Student Roster
Your class roster is accessible from two places: the Teacher Dashboard (in Column 2, which shows the students for the currently selected class) and the Class Detail page (which you reach by clicking on a class name). Both views show the same student information in a list format.
Student Information at a Glance
Each student row in the roster displays key information to help you quickly assess their status:
- Name or email — The student's display name, or their email address if no name was provided.
- Worksheet count — The total number of worksheets the student has completed.
- Assigned count — How many assignments have been sent to this student.
- Average grade — The student's overall average score across all graded work.
Expanding Student Rows
Click the expand arrow (triangleright) next to any student's name to reveal their full assignment history. The expanded view shows each assignment with:
- Status dots — Green indicates completed and graded, red indicates graded with a low score or issues, and gray indicates not yet submitted.
- Scores — The numerical score for each completed assignment.
- Action icons — Quick actions such as viewing the submission or re-grading.
Searching and Filtering
If you have a large class, use the filter box at the top of the roster to search for students by name or email. The list filters in real time as you type, making it easy to find a specific student quickly.
Removing a Student
To remove a student from your class, hover over their row to reveal the delete icon. Click it, and a confirmation dialog will appear to make sure you want to proceed. Removing a student takes them out of your class roster, but it does not delete their LifeSchoolers account — they can rejoin using the join code if needed.
Tip: Regularly review your roster at the start of each term to remove students who have moved on and ensure your class list is accurate. An up-to-date roster makes your analytics and averages more meaningful.
